Slander is a Commodity, bought and sold
Unlike money that one can hold
Shaking conscience, faking identities
Insulating oneself needs heart of gold
Canons fired on speaking mind
Compromising self I did find
Nothing shakes that veracious intent
Extolling efforts amid inveterate grind
Double standards all around found
Alive conscience touching the ground
Divided identities and the self unresolved
Bridging the gap with the inner hound
Juggling acts and mincing words
Genetic flaw that runs in nerds
Can’t say much for what it does
But for sure it greatly hurts
Wearing prejudices as jewel on body
Narcissistic claims that look so shoddy
Wish we wear true transparent sleeve
And build the selves that’s always ready
To learn and improve and walk straight
And not to compromise at any rate
Alas! One in mind and one in heart
It’s so utopian yet never too late
